Meet Petra! Petra is an average-sized Boxer with a pronounced adorable underbite. She is blond, with a black mask and white fur on her chest. Miss Petra came from a high-kill shelter in the Rio Grande Valley in pretty bad shape. However, her foster mom has done a great job fixing her up and Petra has been spayed, is heartworm negative, and is healthy! Petra gets along well with other dogs, and currently resides with a female and a male Boxer sibling. She is not cat-friendly but would be a good match for a child. Petra loves humans and is very friendly with strangers. She is not overly active, but wiggles and smiles a lot. Petra takes corrections well and is very well-behaved in her house. She stays outside of a crate while her foster mom is at work and doesn't get into any funny business. She loves toys and takes great joy in going on walks. When she sees her leash she does a cute like ballet-like twirl that we think is adorable! Petra would be a good match for a variety of homes. She would be fine as an only dog but is happy with other dogs, too. She could live in an apartment (she almost never barks) as long as she was taken out & walked consistently. She would be great with kids but would also be happy in an adult-only home. This little lovebug is ready to fit in wherever she will be loved, cherished and walked regularly!
